Content is
King!
Obtaining information and performing tasks
are the main two objectives when an associate uses the intranet. The
architecture of the intranet has been designed to make it easy to find
information and/or do a task. The intranet is not organized or set
up like the structure of the organization (however we do have a
departments and business group section), but rather the use of categories,
indexes, and site maps makes it SUPER EASY to find what you are
looking for.
Categories & Indexes
The intranet is divided
into ten categories called indexes. Each section contains groups
of links of similar tasks or topics. These indexes will appear in
the global navigation which appears at the top of every page in the
intranet allowing for quick access from any page in the intranet.
You will be able to visually be able to recognize the indexes as you
navigate around -- they all have the same page background image -- a map!
The Site Map is
another way to navigate. All pages are listed in alphabetical order with hyperlinks that can take you directly to each
page.
Global Navigation
The global navigation at the top of
every page provides quick access to all information without having
to return to the home page each time
you wish to navigate to a new section of the intranet. You can move
ACROSS the intranet by clicking on the indexes shown at the top of every
page. span style="backgro
